How does the HSP1500 model hydromassage pump work?
The HSP1500 spa pump is a massage pump. As the name suggests, it is used to power the massage circuit. When the electric motor is running, it drives its impeller located in the pump body, which in turn creates flow. Pressurized water jets out through the massage nozzles to offer you a pleasant hydrotherapy experience.
Do not confuse it with a filtration pump (or circulation pump) which is used to prevent water stagnation and filter all impurities. Generally less powerful than a massage pump.
The specifics of the HSP series spa pump
This massage pump is quiet and has very low vibration while providing a flow rate of 670 L/min. With its MEC80 motor, it delivers a power of 1500W (or 2 HP). Its voltage ranges between 220 and 240V (50Hz) with a total weight of 13.4Kg. A 25 µF capacitor allows it to start (included with the pump).
The single-speed HSP1500 is protected against dust and other microscopic residues. Its IPX5 standard ensures protection against water jets with a flow rate of 12.5 L/min. Its Class F with an anodized motor body allows insulation at a maximum ambient temperature of 40°C. (Max permissible heating: 105 K - Thermal reserve: +10K)

Two fittings for 2-inch diameter piping (60mm)
Its power cable with an AMP plug of approximately 2M
The pump body is adjustable to adapt to your piping. You can then have a left or right discharge depending on your installation. Simply unscrew the 4 motor screws to rotate your pump body in the desired direction. Then reposition the screws in place.

This pump model is retrofit, meaning it can replace any other spa pump with the same power (HP) and size.
